Yamaha YPT210 61 Full-Size Keyboard Bundle

We bought this last year for my son. Just this last month we tried to turn it on and it wouldn't power up. We tried batteries only and it still wouldn't power on. So after les then a year of use it will not turn on with the adapter or batteries. I thought Yamaha made more reliable products!Get more detail about Yamaha YPT210 61 Full-Size Keyboard Bundle.

Cheap Alesis ION Analog Modeling DSP Synthesizer

I got this for my husband and he's having a blast with it!

The vendor we worked with was 8th Street Music and they were really terrific, helpful and easy to talk to! I'll look to them to shop from before anyone else just because of that.

NOTE: The previous reviewers message confused me but he did like the ION. I'm guessing there was an inaccurate photo at some point but thats fixed now. The picture is exactly how our ION looks.Get more detail about Alesis ION Analog Modeling DSP Synthesizer.

Purchase Hohner Accordion Carrying Case - Three Row

This "Hohner" accordion case is of very poor quality. The case is lighter than I expected it to be and therefore feels very fragile. I don't think this case would endure well enough should something happen to it while your accordion is inside. Also, the locks do not work and the Hohner logo on it looks forged. I would not be surprised if the Hohner logo was just spray painted by someone to have this case pass as an Original Hohner Accordion Case.Get more detail about Hohner Accordion Carrying Case - Three Row.

Yamaha PSRS900 61 Key Arranger Workstation Get it now!

I have owned an older PSR model and a DGX505 and this is by far the best keyboard that I have had. From my understanding, this is very similar to a Tyros 2 which is the more expensive model and cost more than twice as much. There is so much to this keyboard that it's going to take quite a while to learn all it's features.

I love the fact that you have over 800 voices (instruments) and the sounds are very realistic, including the sound of the hand sliding through the strings of a guitar. It has over 300 styles (accompaniment) to get you started, but you're not limited to just these styles. You are also able to download hundreds more from the internet i.e. Yamaha styles site, and specifically from the Yamaha and PSR forums. Additionally, you can download and use MIDI files and play along with them as well as use them as a learning tool. It has a very nice instructional feature where you're able to view the notes of a midi file, and even have it wait until you play the correct note before the music continues. Way Cool as some would say.

It has USB ports which means that you can use flash drives, Floppy drives with a USB connector, and even HD, CD and DVD drives with same connectors for saving and downloading files.

It has what is called an OTS (One touch setting) function (4 programable buttons) which is used to program different instruments that you want to use on a particular accompaniment(style). That makes it easy to change voices on the fly as you play your music. Lots of things you can do with this unit which includes, changing instruments, volume of each instrument, create and save your own styles ...etc.

One of it's best features are the registration keys which allows you to set up and save your different accompaniments (styles) for the songs you wish to play. It has 8 registration keys which can be saved as a bank. This means that you are able to save 8 of your predefined styles, including your choice of instruments per bank. So, there is NO limit to the number of background accompaniment (styles) you can save, because you can have several banks with 8 backgrounds each. And if you fill up the keyboards memory, there's always the USB flash drive, Floppy drive ..etc that you can save to.

And for all you budding singers out there. Who needs a Karaoke machine when you have one of these? You can attach a microphone, play a midi file, or accompany yourself, and sing to your hearts desire

I can go on and on, but the best thing to do if this interests you, is to do a search on the PSR-S900 on the internet and YouTube and you'll see it's amazing features. Also visit the Yamaha and PSR forums to get an idea just how well this keyboard is supported.

BTW: The PSR-S910 is out and unless you can get an excellent price for this one, I would opt for the newer 910. Other than that, there really isn't much difference in the two.Get more detail about Yamaha PSRS900 61 Key Arranger Workstation.

Buy Korg X50 61 Key Music Synthesizer Keyboard

I've owned the x50 for a couple of years now and use it in my home studio. First of all is sound quality. The top of the line Korg series is the Triton keyboards, which cost thousands of dollars (depending on the model). This keyboard uses the same engine, so the sounds are quite similar to the top of the line model. In other words, incredible sounds.

So why is it less than a thousand bucks? First of all, it's not as customizable. Make no mistake, you can still tweak every sound, but it's not as easy or as in depth as the Triton series.

Second are the physical stats: 61 VELOCITY SENSITIVE, but NOT weighted keys. This means that you can still play with dynamic control, but there isn't the feedback one might be used to from a piano. The keyboard itself is very well constructed but mainly plastic. It will surprise you in it's lack of heft, but don't confuse that with cheapness. It's solid.

So why use this? The voices are amazing. I use it in my home studio to backup my guitar. For one song I wrote in a flute solo and then brought in a flautist to learn the song so she could play with me live. She commented on how good the flautist was who recorded for me. She didn't even know it was a keyboard.

The strings, piano and organ sections are particularly strong.

It's great for my studio since I'm not a pianist. It's exceedingly portable so it would be great for gigs too. It's really a great deal since you get thousands of dollars worth of voices for less than a thousand.Get more detail about Korg X50 61 Key Music Synthesizer Keyboard.
