I went to guitar center, asked for a micro- they said they were out, so I figure guess I'll just grab an R3- assuming it would be better than a Micro right?
Man this thing is so light- I mean, cheap as it gets. Only about 5 sounds including the vocoder that I ever used from it. I played a bit with tweaking the sounds. Kinda fun, but man- $600 for this? I had the Micro years earlier and was highly impressed. A much better build, looks better- sound sim. little keys? no biggie.
Anyway I traded my R3 in for an Alesis Micron. Will see how that goes. If you really gotta have that silly little microphone, get the Akai Miniak. I hear it's just about the same as the Micron, yet with a mic, and maybe a little more nobs to play with.
